Extendable horizontal resaw telescopes opportunities

Extendable horizontal resaw telescopes opportunities Wood-Mizer has revealed the impending launch of a modular horizontal resaw with from two to six cutting heads, to meet the needs of small sawing operators, farmers and estate owners who wish to further extend timber processing.

The add-on or subtract resaw, which devolves from the company’s multi-head saw became available this year.

It permits, for example, a sawyer who wants to expand into secondary processing, to buy a resaw with two cutting heads and subsequently to add two or four more to the module.

The basic two-head resaw is designed to either take a rubber belt or flat steel chain feed. Each head can be tilted with the addition of an optional tilting kit, which permits say, tilting from zero to nine degrees for lap fencing. The machine can bestow significant value on raw material in a flexible manner and owners buy in and install extras when more capacity is appropriate. Equally they can disassemble a lengthened resaw and revert to a two-head unit to suit commercial requirements. It easily dismantles and can be remove to a new site since it requires no separate foundations. As a result, expenditure on fittings often left behind is unnecessary.
