The launch of the Wood-Mizer corporate magazine in Africa will continue growing Wood-Mizer’s effectiveness in reaching and educating the African forestry and sawmilling industries.
From a small representative office located in South Africa, Wood-Mizer Africa became a fully owned subsidiary of Wood-Mizer in 2011. Of the more than 103 Wood-Mizer dealers and outlets located around the globe, the Johannesburg team now forms part of a group of 16 branches that are owned and operated by Wood-Mizer in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
This has direct benefit for wood processors in Africa.
Wood-Mizer Africa now has accredited dealers in 22 African countries with six more dealerships opening their doors in the near future. Better trained dealers with improved access to spare parts, blades and consumables, technical back-up and training skills at their disposal will reduce downtime and help sawmillers to start and run successful businesses.
The launch of the Wood-Mizer Africa magazine is another important step in Wood-Mizer Africa’s commitment towards improving and streamlining the service that is available to sawmillers on the continent. It combines with existing communication channels already used to reach sawmillers in Africa. These efforts include an interactive website
, a Facebook page
, articles in prominent African magazines and newspapers, and newsletters for different Africa markets.
By getting the latest news from Wood-Mizer in the language of your choice, we believe that sawmillers can make better decisions to improve and strengthen their business going forward.
Our commitment is to partner with you to unlock the timber wealth that Africa holds and by doing so to improve your life and look after the resource better.
