Wood-Mizer's 2014 Personal Best Contest - first time in Germany

Wood-Mizer's 2014 Personal Best Contest - first time in Germany
Since Wood-Mizer began in Indiana in 1982, many of our customers have built some truly amazing things with their own wood. This fact is shown in no better way than by the contest that is held by our US headquarters. Customers are invited to submit projects that they have built with their own wood.

In 2013, over 150 projects were submitted, a new record for the long running contest. That was the first time when the selection of the winners was made partially through on-line voting. The public were able to vote for their favourite projects and one of the entries with the highest number of votes won the new ‘People’s Choice Award’ - a 400-square-foot food distribution centre built by Lynn Davis and his LT40 hydraulic sawmill in West Virginia (the photo at right).

The 2013 showcase of Personal Best entries features remarkable homes and barns, interior and exterior projects, as well as other unique and noteworthy accomplishments. While each project exudes the sawyer's Personal Best, there is a common bond: they all started with a dream and a Wood-Mizer.

All entries can be viewed at this page.

Wood-Mizer holds contests for customers every year alternating each year between the Personal Best Contest and the Business Best Contest. In 2014, Wood-Mizer Germany is the first European Wood-Mizer location holding their own Best Project Contest for Wood-Mizer sawmill owners in Germany and Austria. You may take part in voting at www.woodmizer.de.
