The organizers call this event "Asia's No.1" wood exhibition. The WMF show was launched in 1986 and during its 28 years history it has grown into the largest-scale woodworking machinery exhibition in Asia, exclusively supported by EUMABOIS and attracting active participation of industrial associations and visitors all over the world.
"In 2013, we appointed a new regional manager for China," shares Richard Vivers, Wood-Mizer president. "Obviously, China is a huge market, and not the easiest to penetrate. We are basically taking a long term view to have dedicated bodies on the ground to sell and set up distribution networks. It is important that we understand where on that circle this country is, and how we should be reacting and preparing ourselves to provide the products and service we know they need. We just have to do it right."
At WMF 2014 in Beijing, China, Wood-Mizer’s new regional manager Nicholas Kong will be introducing Wood-Mizer technology to the Chinese wood industry. The popular LT20 sawmill will be on display, as well as an area to examine Wood-Mizer’s wide range of thin-kerf blades which are proven to cut all varieties of softwoods and hardwoods alike.
This year the exhibiting area covers 60,000 m2 with about 600 participants. They are prepared to receive 30,000 visitors during the show scheduled from February 25-28 in the China International Exhibition Center (CIEC), located at: 6 East Beisanhuan Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, PR China.
